In Hitman 2, players are given the chance to play in either first or third person modes. Missions can be saved midway through, and weapon inventory can also be carried over from mission to mission. Game design has been tweaked to allow for various methods of completing mission objectives. Players can either shoot holes in everything they see, or play a more silent and sneaky role to get the job done.
